My objective in this project is to assist Topshop with the development of a merchandise strategy. While Topshop offers options for A-line skirts, they tend to focus more on streetwear. I want to design something new that Topshop hasn't offered previously. In regards to this clothing line, I went with retro pastel colors with detail as my main design to give the entire collection a girly vibe. Each piece in the collection features pleats and ruffles made of see-through organza fabric that I take inspiration from the Plastic Free Coast. Everyone is aware that plastics are having a significant negative impact on the world at the moment since we waste so much of them every day. Therefore, I want to repurpose that plastic to make clothing utilizing recycled polyester as the primary material.
